Carpentry — common questions
Do you take on small carpentry jobs?
Yes. A single sticking door or a few metres of skirting is fine — we do maintenance work as well as full builds. Give us a call and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth a site visit or whether we can quote from photos.
Can you match existing timber and profiles?
In most cases yes. Older homes often use profiles that are no longer stocked, so we either source the closest match or have it milled. We will show you the options before ordering.
Do I need council approval for carpentry work?
Non-structural work like doors, trim and shelving does not need approval. Structural changes — removing or altering load-bearing walls, for instance — usually do. We will tell you which category your job falls into at the quote.
